Beyond sticking plasters: The future of discretionary crisis support
A joint meeting of the APPG on Ending the Need for Food Banks and APPG on Poverty and Inequality that will bring together a cross- party group of parliamentarians with anti-poverty and local government sector experts to explore how to build on the
foundations of the Household Support Fund and build a more effective system of local crisis and resilience support in England.
Speakers include Minister for Employment Alison McGovern MP, Jo Rowlands from Leeds City Council, Zoe Nixon from Newquay Food Bank and a representative from Trussell. The event will be chaired by Baroness Lister of Burtersett, Co-Chair of the APPG on Poverty and Inequality.
